The Beach Memory

You know those stories that get told every time your family gets together at any sort of gathering and everyone laughs about it, and you’ll never be able to forget about this? Well this is one of those. One of my first memories at the beach is when I was just a toddler and I was walking around, unguarded, with a big bag of cheese doodles, when all of the sudden I was swarmed by a gang of vicious seagulls. The seagulls were relentless and came after me until I had dropped the snacks and was able to run away. I came away from this incident a little rattled, and covered in sand and bird poop, but was ok. All’s my family could do was laugh hysterically while I was swarmed by the birds. I find it interesting how this incident, at such an early age, did not leave a lasting impression of fear towards the beach, but that just goes to show how much I’ve always loved it there.
